Secretary Gill: Economic development is a team sport

On Monday, the O’s season got off to a strong start with a win driven by strong pitching, clutch hitting and contributions from the top of the lineup to the bottom.

Baseball is a team sport. So is economic development. No one person, company or government agency can do it alone.

That’s why I was so excited to join many of our legislative partners in Annapolis last month for an event, hosted by Commerce, highlighting what we can all do to grow our economy and lift our great state to its full potential.

We have all the ingredients here we need for an economy that can compete with any other in the world. We are not there yet, but through the leadership of Governor Hogan we’re making tremendous progress in getting where we need to be.

Let’s continue to do great work together!
